Evoke Development facilitated Accurate Data Transfer to a pilot group of Data Entry Specialist in a high volume data entry department. Internal error reports were analyzed to compare the accuracy performance of the pilot group to a control group. The groups were balanced and included individuals with very similar baseline performance of reported error levels and processing speed during the month prior to Accurate Data Transfer training.
Although Accurate Data Transfer does not teach keyboarding skills, Evoke Development was specifically asked to analyze the results of their internal keyboarding tests to see if there was a corresponding correlation in speed and accuracy improvement after the training.
The pilot group who completed Accurate Data Transfer showed a 20% performance improvement over the control group. The "on-the-job" reported errors include both data processing errors and knowledge based errors (policy, procedure, or information). Additional efficiency improvements will also occur in the lab and billing departments because there will be a smaller number of problems these departments would need to fix in order to complete their department functions.
Even though specific keyboarding skills are not taught in Accurate Data Transfer (we focus on what is going on in your head, not with your fingers), the pilot group showed a 33.5% reduction in errors and a 5-12% increase in keyboarding speed.
